The Grain Council of Uganda has been and still in involved in the management of the whole grain value chain. We build capacity of our members and their supplier chains in quality for the market and food safety standards. This involves Pre-and Post-Harvest Management training and capability development sessions.
In partnership with members, government and development partners, we have and still carryout sessions and in some instances hand-hold our members to manage their supply chains. This in turn has reduced the aflatoxin levels in the supplied grain and hence our members helped to acquire the certificated of conformity which facilitates their sales and export trade.
We have been part of the development and demystification of post-harvest management materials for Grain in Uganda and East Africa.
